Fall by The Crüxshadows The Gothic Scene or Movement
started in the late 70's and early 80's. However it was not given its name until somewhere around 1979-1980. The music was also apart of
the Gothic Scene or Movement. It was known as Positive Punk. Yes the Gothic Scene was born from Punk. But it was much too
different. Punk was rebelling against the government at the time and was more over anarchy with their lyrics and music directed
towards the government. Whilst Gothic Music was exploring its own way. Having a darker side to their lyrics and music. It
was first heard in Europe many of the bands coming from Britain and Germany. It was a new thing. Most fans of Gothic Bands
were called Goth's. How that came I don't know. There were many Gothic Bands with different sounds and atmospheres. Now on
with the present agriculture. There are many aspects on living a Gothic Life style. But there is not one official answer.
Goths look at things with a dark perspective. Its not exactly always being depressed as many think. It is a morbid beauty
within beauty. An art of life with a dark twist. And although most prefer not to call themselves a Goth many do. Gothic is
also about fashion because in reality to express yourself don't we all dress a certain way? Well most of us do. I for one
do not label myself. Many Gothic Bands that emerged
from the late 70's and early/late 80's are: The Cure (now regarded as
Pop) Christian Death Bauhaus X-mal Deutschland Alien Sex Fiend Sex Gang Children Fields of The Nephilim Skinny Puppy UK Decay The Banshees The Mission The Sisters of Mercy Joy Division Southern Death Cult Danse Society Play Dead Tones on Tail The Virgin Prunes Gene Loves Jezebel Theatre of Hate Specimen Marionettes Dominator X Rosetta Stone James Ray and the Performance
Nosferatu Creaming Jesus Terminal Power Company Every New Dead Ghost to name a few...
